Introduction: Hello fellow beaders. I love to make freeform animals, the photo shown is of a whale that I created. I presented it to Wyland when I met him a year ago after purchasing one of his paintings.
What are your favorite types of beads to work with? (i.e.: small, large, crystals, gemstones, glass, natural, etc): I have a passion for beadweaving seed beads. Peyote, square stitch, right angle weave, ndebele, herringbone, you name it. My favorite kinds of necklaces to make are lariats.
To date, what is your favorite piece that you have made? Please describe: My favorite piece I ever made has to be, of course, a lariat that won me first prize at the county fair. It has all the colors of the rainbow in it and is about five feet long.
When did you first start beading?: My first try at beading was with my mother, I wanted her to make a lariat for me but she insisted that I could make one myself. That was about nine years and about 200,000 beads ago.
What type of beading is your favorite? (i.e.: stringing, wire work, seed beads, loomwork, etc): Seed bead freeform has got to be one of my favorites.
Have you ever sold or considered selling one or more of your creations?: I have sold my creations to lots of friends and made countless pieces as presents to family members.
